General Pattern Corporation has been providing a variety of tooling and machining services since 1949. While specializing in vacuum form tooling, we also provide Thermoform tooling, CNC machining, precision tooling engineering, and conventional machining services.

Our current facility is a 10,000 square foot building located in Moline, Illinois. This location gives us convenient access to the Mississippi River and Interstates 80 and 74. Timeliness, budget, and quality are our top priorities in our commitment to excellence.

Our Services

 CNC & Conventional

In conventional lathe, all operations are manual. In CNC lathe, all operations can be programmed and saved in the machine.

 Vacuum Form Tooling

A simplified version of thermoforming, whereby a sheet of plastic is heated to a forming temperature, stretched and forced against the mold by a vacuum.

 Rapid Prototype

Techniques used to quickly fabricate a scale model of a physical part or assembly using three-dimensional computer aided design (CAD) data.

 Wood, Metal and Plastic Patterns

We use different pattern types to satisfy any process from low-volume, small batches to high-volume production and shell moldings.

 Deep Hole Drilling

Weight reduction, cooling, optimization of temperature and minimizing the buckling of molds, transmission components and similar, are results often reached with deep drilling.

 Tooling Engineering and Consulting

We are able to help manufacturers solve mechanical engineering questions related to machining, fixtures, tooling, cutting tools, mechanical design, documentation, product testing, and much more.
